Lemon Myrtle is a flowering plant native to Australia. Its botanical name, Backhousia Citriodora. It is mainly grown in subtropical rainforest climates in South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Its strong aroma can be described as a blend of Lemon, Lime and Lemongrass.

Lemon Myrtle is believed to have anti-bacterial as well as anti-fungal properties and can be soothing for certain skin conditions.

Lemon Myrtle Oil is sourced from the leaves of the plant and then the dried leaf can be crushed and also used.
